In my artwork, I like to examine natural environments. I am interested in the intersection between place and human perception. My desire is to capture the beauty in my surroundings. The natural environment is my passion and photography is my life long voice. My wish is to inspire people to look more carefully at the world that is around them and to discover the beauty in these unusual places. Looking past the obvious, I find that close observation and engagement of the subject is the process of my work. I strive to explore new opportunities, bringing together all the elements of nature and its raw and breathtaking magnificence.
Using the camera, I capture the essence of the environment and communicate my vision of the natural world by evoking a sense of place and transport the viewer into the environment. If I am successful, I believe that the image will “speak” to the viewer and evoke emotion.
